希腊文明被 为是西方文明的源头，古希腊自然是希腊文明的高光时刻，但希腊文明的影响远不止于此，而在被罗马灭亡之后通过罗马帝国尤其是东罗马的拜占庭文明而继续得到发扬和传承，这方面的内容 重要但在 学界没有得到足够的重视。《罗马征服以来的希腊史》则是集中反映古希腊被罗马灭亡以来一直到作者所在的1864年超过2000年的希腊历史的巨著。本书从古典希腊史专家搁笔之处开始，以丰富的资料和扎实的研究为基础，花20年巨力分期对从罗马时代、拜占庭帝国时期、奥斯曼土耳其时期以及希腊独立战争时期的希腊历史进行了详尽和生动的展现。自1843—1865年起陆续分卷出版,1877年合并出版，此后多次被牛津大学出版社、麦克米伦出版社、剑桥出版社等多次重印。这本书也被《历史著作史》（汤普森著）认为是“吉本以来英国史学界 的著作”，也成为研究希腊史、尤其是拜占庭帝国历史无法绕过的经典。本书为《罗马征服以来的希腊史》的 卷，主要介绍公元前146年—公元716年被罗马征服以后的希腊和整个希腊化地区的历史。

Tips for reducing the shipping cost
